01. Automatic Nutrition Calculation

Pro helps calculate estimated nutrition values from your ingredient list using the Spoonacular API, which we pay for. Start the calculation for each recipe, review the matched ingredients and quantities, and adjust any values before saving. You can then display the results in the nutrition labels already included in Premium.

02. Unit Conversion (US Customary and Metric)

Set up your two unit systems, then calculate, review, and save the converted ingredient quantities for each recipe. Readers can use the recipe card toggle to switch between those saved values, such as US Customary and Metric. You can see it in the demo to try the switch yourself.

03. Temperature Conversion (Fahrenheit and Celsius)

Pro can switch temperatures between Fahrenheit and Celsius when readers change unit systems. Enable Temperature Conversion in the Unit Conversion settings, associate a temperature unit with each system, and enter temperatures using the temperature shortcode. This works for recipes with unit conversion set up; temperatures typed as ordinary text do not change.

04. Custom Recipe Fields

Pro lets you add your own custom fields to the recipe card. Whether you want to highlight wine pairings, list dietary notes, or link directly to inspiration sources, you can create unlimited custom data fields and position them effortlessly using the Template Editor you already know.

05. Translation API

Pro integrates with Google Cloud Translation to help match non-English ingredients during nutrition calculation and unit conversion. Enable billing and the API in your Google Cloud project, then add your API key in WP Recipe Maker. Google offers a monthly free allowance; usage beyond it can incur separate charges. Review ingredient matches, as manual adjustments may still be needed.

  2. Install the upgraded bundle in WordPress:

    Download the Pro bundle from your account and upload it through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Confirm Replace current with uploaded to replace the paid bundle. Keep the free WP Recipe Maker plugin active. Your license renewal date stays the same.

  3. Your recipes stay exactly as they are:

    Replacing the paid bundle preserves your recipes, settings, and templates. There is no recipe migration or code to paste. The new tools become available for you to set up: calculate and review nutrition per recipe, prepare converted quantities, or add custom fields when you need them.
