We just released the very best version of WP Recipe Maker up until today: version 10.2.0 Read on for the highlights and a full changelog or update right away!
eCommerce Products
WP Recipe Maker 10.2.0 introduces a powerful new eCommerce Products Integration, starting with WooCommerce. You can now link your recipe ingredients directly to products in your shop, allowing visitors to add items to their cart with a single click.
Whether it’s one ingredient at a time or the entire recipe in one go, this feature makes it easier than ever for readers to purchase exactly what they need, right from your site. It’s a seamless way to boost conversions, support meal kits, sell specialty ingredients, or connect recipes to your product catalog.
The new feature is fully compatible with our adjustable servings as well, so it knows exactly how much your visitor needs to purchase of a particular product to make the recipe. For example, even when changing the serving size from “1 pizza” to “20 pizzas”, it knows that now 20 dough balls are needed, but still only 1 bottle of olive oil:
Support for additional eCommerce platforms may follow in future releases, depending on demand.
The new eCommerce Products feature is available in the WP Recipe Maker Elite Bundle only.
Cook Mode Popup
Another exciting addition in WP Recipe Maker 10.2.0 is the brand-new Cook Mode Popup. Creators can now add a “Start Cooking” button to any recipe, opening a sleek modal that guides visitors through the instructions step by step—without any of the usual on-page distractions. This focused layout keeps readers on your site longer and makes it easier for them to actually cook your recipe in real time.
If you are using associated ingredients, each step will clearly mark the ingredients that the user needs, making it as easy as possible to go through the cooking steps. The popup also includes a powerful multi-timer system that lets users run several timers at once—perfect for recipes with multiple components.
When they reach the final step, visitors are prompted to leave a star rating, making Cook Mode an effortless (and effective) way to gather more recipe reviews.
This text can be changed on the settings page and even allows for HTML code, if you want to fully customize things or set up an advanced integration.
Give it a try by clicking on the “Start Cooking” button on our demo site.
Recipe Change Warnings
Keeping your recipes consistent just got a whole lot easier. With 10.2.0, any time you update the ingredients of an existing recipe, WP Recipe Maker will now warn you when your nutrition facts and/or unit conversions may need to be refreshed as well.
For example, let’s say I noticed the pizza dough should be a bit more salty, so I increase the amount from 1 to 2 tablespoons:
Immediately 2 warnings show up, indicating that I might need to update the converted unit system values and nutrition fields as well. You can click through to the Unit Conversion tab to see exactly what needs to be done.
In the Nutrition section it clearly shows what changes were made as well, so you can decide if these values need to get updated too. Take note that this warning will be gone once you close the modal, so make sure to take action if needed.
No more accidental mismatches between ingredients and calculated data. This simple but powerful safeguard helps ensure your recipes remain accurate, reliable, and trustworthy for your readers.
Fixed Saved Collections
For anyone using the Recipe Collections feature, we’re introducing a completely new way to curate content: Fixed Collections. Admins can now mark a collection as “Fixed”, making it automatically appear in the collections list of every user on the site.
These collections are read-only for visitors, ensuring they always see the exact set of recipes you’ve chosen—perfect for meal plans, seasonal roundups, challenges, or curated bundles. Whenever you update a Fixed collection, those changes instantly propagate to everyone, keeping everything in sync without any extra steps.
A collection can be marked as “Fixed” on the WP Recipe Maker > Manage > Features > Saved Collections page, like this “Swap Recipes” example on our demo site:
Anyone visiting the recipe collections feature on our demo site will now have that fixed collection showing up. As the admin I could then change this set of recipes next month, and present my users with a different set of recipes that they can use, for example.
Recipe Embed API
WP Recipe Maker 10.2.0 introduces an optional Recipe Embed API that lets your recipes be displayed seamlessly on external websites, including sites that aren’t running WordPress at all. After enabling the new API endpoint on the WP Recipe Maker > Settings > Permissions page, any authorized partner site can embed your recipes directly.
It’s a powerful way to expand your reach, share recipes across platforms, collaborate with brands, or power custom apps and experiences, all while keeping your content centralized in WordPress.
Check out a demo of the Embed API in action and how we created that.
Divi 5 Module: Ready for the Next Generation of Divi
With Divi 5 currently in beta, we’re excited to introduce an official WP Recipe Maker module built specifically for the new Divi 5 framework. This lets early testers start using their recipes inside Divi 5 right away. By offering support ahead of the full release, we can work closely with creators to ensure everything runs smoothly and seamlessly the moment Divi 5 becomes widely available.
When adding a Divi Module, you should find “WPRM Recipe” in the list, which allows you to search for recipes, create recipes and edit them, all through the Divi 5 interface. All with a live preview of the recipe, just like in the default WordPress editor:
If you’re experimenting with the Divi 5 beta, we’d love for you to try the new module and share any feedback! Take note that we do not recommend using this for product sites until the official Divi 5 release.
